Short version: your footage never leaves your computer, there are no accounts, and we don't track you.

Your media and timelines

SyncNut runs entirely in your web browser. When you load a timeline and choose a footage folder, the files are read on your computer by the page itself. Video, audio and timeline files are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we can't see them. The synced timeline is created in your browser and saved straight to your computer when you download it.

What's stored in your browser

SyncNut saves a few small settings in your browser's local storage, such as whether the clip list is open. If you ever activate a Pro license, the key is stored there too. These stay on your computer, aren't used to track you, and are removed when you clear your browser's data for this site.

What our hosting provider sees

Like any website, the servers that deliver SyncNut's pages receive standard request information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Our hosting provider (currently Netlify) processes this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and keeps it for a limited time under its own privacy policy. We don't use it to identify you or build a profile of you.

Accounts, analytics and cookies

There are no accounts. SyncNut doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, for example to add privacy-friendly visitor counts or ads on a free plan, we'll update this page before it happens and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Emails you send us

If you email us for support, we use your email address and what you send only to reply and help you, and we keep it only as long as needed for that.

Payments

Nothing is for sale yet. If we start selling a Pro plan, payments will be handled by a payment provider acting as the merchant of record, under its own privacy policy. We would receive your email address and license status so we can support your purchase, and we would never see your card number. We'll update this page before that starts.

Children

SyncNut isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or to object to how it's used. Because SyncNut holds almost nothing about you, there is usually nothing to hand over, but you can contact us with any request and we'll answer it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
